I’m sitting here listening to the Miseducation of Lauryn Hill (great album!) and at the end of “To Zion” when they are speaking to the students, they are asked a real question; what is love? And it had me wondering too. What is love? Not the dictionary defintion though. Every person has their own definition of love. If everyone has their own definiton of love, how do you know if you really are in love? Well this is my definition:
Love is when you go to sleep at night that person is the last thing on your mind and the first thing you think of in the morning. Love is when you would give anything to be with that person or to even be by their side. Love is when you can look past all the negativity in their past life. Love is when you can make it through the ups and downs. Love is when your heart is sitting on cloud nine whenever that person is around or evens the sound of their name. LOVE is overcoming all obstacles. Love is when through all the fighting, crying, sleepless nights, you find your way back to each other. Love is when without that person in your life, you don’t know where you would be. Love is when you feel incomplete when you don’t hear from that person or see their face.
